Recent heavy rains and flooding in the central region have claimed 15 lives and injured 18 others. Nine people are reported missing, according to the latest report from the National Steering Committee for Storm and Flood Prevention and Control.
Coteccons staff have launched fund raising campaign to help flood victims in the center of the country by donating one day salary. Therefore, on the two days of October 28th and 29th, Coteccons Group had travelled to the affected areas (Tuyên Hoá Commune, Quảng Bình Province and Hương Khê Commune, Hà Tĩnh Province) to deliver necessities to people in need.
By giving a total number of 752 presents worth over one billion dongs including cash, rice and other necessities, the staff of Coteccons Group had expressed the Vietnamese tradition of ‘One good turn deserves another’ and hopefully, all of those presents would help the local people overcome difficulties in short-term and then, rebuild their lives.
All of the smiles coming from local people definitely warm the heart of the charity team and raise an awareness of social responsibilities to them. Last but not least, the charity trip is also an evidence to show the careness of Coteccons Group to social issues, especially helping people in disaster areas.
