WELCOME A NEW GENERATION TO COTECCONS

Every year, Coteccons organizes internships for students from the Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, Ho Chi Minh City University of Architecture, Hanoi University of Civil Engineering, etc. This program has created opportunities for 3rd and 4th-year students to participate in projects, experience, and learn soft skills & practical experience at construction sites.

After the selection rounds and interviews, the 12 best students who have been admitted to the 2022 internship program will participate in projects in the South in June.

On June 7, 2022, the Department of Human Resources in collaboration with Coteccons Training Academy and the Safety Board held a meeting “Meet, share & train on occupational safety” to help the students better understand the Company, career path and more importantly, to equip themselves with knowledge about occupational safety before practice at the construction sites.

The practical and sincere sharing from the senior staff has received positive feedback from the students. Although the meeting was short but full of content that interested them. This is not only knowledge luggage but also the motivation for the students to complete the upcoming internship.

With the motto “Focus on developing people – People are the most valuable asset”, these interns will be the next generation, a source of quality engineers who can join the Company right after graduation. This promises to be a young, talented, well-trained team, fully equipped with knowledge and skills to contribute to “building futures” with Coteccons.

Coteccons Pledges to Safeguard Natural Forests in Quang Tri The reforestation initiative is part of Coteccons’ annual activities. It originates from the GreenUP Marathon launched in 2022. Built on the GreenUP foundation, Coteccons is committed to creating lasting values for communities and society, grounded in integrity, transparency, solidarity, and sharing. Carrying on this vision, Coteccons, together with Quang Tri’s local government, planted 11,777 trees of three rare native species – Erythrophleum fordii (Lim Xanh), Toona sinensis (Xoan Dao), and Michelia mediocris (Gioi Xanh) – at the Ban Ke community forest in Tuyen Lam Commune. This effort contributes to restoring watershed protection forests, preventing erosion, enhancing climate resilience, and sustainably supporting local livelihoods. The ceremony took place with the presence of leaders from Quang Tri Province, representatives from the People’s Committee of Tuyen Lam Commune, members of the Community Forest Management Board, the Chut ethnic community, as well as students and volunteers.   During the ceremony, Mr. Dinh Xuan Thuong – Secretary and

On August 22, 2025, at the Archify Live conference organized by Hubexo with the theme “Eco-Friendly Architecture – Building a Sustainable Future”, Mr. Dương Trọng Nghĩa, Project Director of Coteccons, participated in a panel discussion alongside other industry experts and shared his perspectives on the rising trend of green buildings and the journey of Vietnamese contractors expanding into international markets. Balancing Quality and Cost – Coteccons’ Perspective Mr. Nghĩa noted that the tension between cost and quality in construction isn’t solely driven by clients—intense competition among contractors, especially in the real estate market downturn post-COVID-19, plays a major role. He emphasized: “Clients cannot push prices down if contractors themselves do not engage in fierce competition, creating a ‘red ocean’.” Coteccons opts instead to optimize through smart strategies—financial management, centralized procurement, and value engineering—to deliver real value rather than resorting to price undercutting. Green Buildings – An Inevitable Trend Regarding sustainability, Coteccons’ representative shared that nearly all their FDI-led projects now conform to green building standards (LEED, Lotus, GreenMark, EDGE). Locally, 20–30% of Vietnamese clients are aiming for green certification. Mr. Nghĩa remarked that while green buildings used to cost 10–20% more, today the premium is minimal thanks to the widespread availability of green materials and solutions. Crucially, contractors and architects must recognize their responsibility to reduce emissions and contribute to sustainable development. In practice, Coteccons has already implemented multiple green initiatives such as using solar power or LED lights for temporary site lighting, managing dust with rainwater, installing washing
