“Xây Tết 2026”: Safety Is the Happiness of More Than 30,000 Workers and Their Families

Hanoi – Nhan Dan Newspaper, in coordination with Coteccons Construction Joint Stock Company (CTD), officially launched the “Xây Tết 2026” program under the theme “Thank You to the Guardians of Happiness”. The program highlights the message that workers’ happiness is built upon 365 days of safe working practices. Safety as Culture, Right, and Responsibility Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Trinh Thuy Trang, Deputy CEO of Coteccons, emphasized that at Coteccons, the principle “If it is not safe, stop work” is not merely a slogan but a core operating rule. Safety engineers are empowered to halt construction to protect workers, and workers themselves are encouraged to refuse tasks that pose potential risks. This mindset transforms safety from a regulation into a voluntary daily practice. Yet, this strictness helps workers build awareness and refuse to work at unsafe, poorly protected sites. The story reflects a reality in which safety has become a defining cultural value across Coteccons’ projects. Why Safety? Coteccons’ “Building Tet” Program Wins Community Initiative Award at 2024 Human Act Prize

Hanoi, 14 December 2024, at a ceremony held at Ho Guom Opera House, Coteccons Construction Joint Stock Company (CTD) was honored the 2024 Human Act Prize awards for their positive and sustainable contributions to the community through its “Building Tet” program.” The prestigious Human Act Prize, initiated by Nhan Dan Newspaper with guidance from the Ministry of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, and the Ministry of Science and Technology, in collaboration with VCCorp Joint Stock Company, celebrates individuals and organizations driving positive change in society. The award recognizes those who create lasting and sustainable impact through impactful community initiatives and projects. The Gala Night at the iconic Ho Guom Opera House (Hanoi) showcased 32 of Vietnam’s most inspriring and impactful community-focused projects. The judging panel comprised distinguished experts, journalists, social activists, and influential artists with deep expertise in their respective fields. The 2024 Human Act Prize recognizes contributions across seven key categories: Community Initiative, Timely Project, Promising Project, Persistent Project, Inspiring Project, Sustainable Project, and the coveted Human Act Prize of the Year. The overarching criteria for all awards encompass commitment, sustainability, innovation, impact, and the potential for dissemination and inspiration of the initiatives/projects. “XAY TET 2023” – COTECCONS “BUILD” TET FOR 12,000 CONSTRUCTION WORKERS

Construction workers are a priority in the sustainability strategy. According to data from the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids, and Social Affairs, the country has about 7 million construction workers, accounting for 13.5% of the workforce aged 15 and over. Especially, in the construction industry, construction workers are the important people contributing to the creation of iconic projects and works. With the direction of sustainable development, besides taking care of people in difficult circumstances and responding to climate change and community issues, Coteccons realizes that its own employees, construction workers, are also a sector that has received little attention in society. Therefore, Coteccons has decided to launch the “Xay Tet—Construct Tet” program in order to bring a warmer and better Tet to 12,000 construction workers who are working for subcontractors and suppliers at Coteccons’s construction sites. The program will visit nearly 60 construction sites across the country starting on January 4, 2023. Coteccons understands that each construction worker has made great efforts to build solid, safe works and always ensure the progress. That is the reason that accelerates Coteccons to give them and their family gifts, to join hands to build a fuller Tet for all! Besides gift sets for 12,000 workers, the program also organizes meaningful activities such as cutting hair at the construction site, taking souvenir photos, giving free rides back to their hometowns, etc. All these activities are intended to bring short relaxation time to workers during the busy days of running progress on the construction
